The job book for chimney sweeps.
Customers, diary, job records and certificates, kept on the phone you already carry. Made for one-person sweeping businesses in the UK.
Sweep Mate is being built with a working chimney sweep in the Scottish Highlands. It isn’t open to other sweeps yet.
From the phone call to the next sweep

Take the booking
Find the customer by name, phone or postcode while they’re still on the line. Offer a morning or afternoon window, or an exact time, from a diary that shows your free gaps and who else is due nearby.
Working now -
Do the job
Record each appliance as you go: how it was swept, the smoke test, the CO alarm, whether it’s safe to use. Add photos and any extra work, like a new door rope.
Working now -
Leave the paperwork
A certificate for every flue swept, or a warning notice when one isn’t safe, sent to the customer as a PDF. Once issued, a document can be replaced but never quietly edited.
Coming next -
Bring them back
The next sweep date follows the fuel they burn. A reminder goes out a few weeks before, once per house, only to customers who’ve agreed to it.
Coming later
Made for the work
- Readable on a roof
- Large buttons for cold fingers, and a typeface designed to be read in poor light.
- Windows you can keep
- Customers are given an arrival window. What they were told stays fixed, even if you change your hours later.
- Intervals from the fuel
- Wood up to four times a year while in use, house coal twice, smokeless and oil once, following NACS guidance. Change any of them.
- Poor signal on site
- Each answer saves as you tap it, and photos are shrunk on the phone before they upload.
- Landlords, tenants and buyers
- A house can have an owner, a tenant and a letting agent, and the person who books and pays doesn’t have to be the owner.
- Scotland and England
- Each business is set up for where it works, because the carbon monoxide alarm rules differ.

Kept apart. Each business sees only its own customers, and the database itself refuses records that cross between businesses.
